It will be mostly cloudy and breezy today with rain and drizzle expected, according to Met Éireann.
It will be driest and mildest across the midlands and east, while there will be persistent rain at times across Atlantic counties.
Temperature will reach between 5 to 19 degrees today, before dropping between 9 and 14 degrees tonight.
Tonight will see further scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, with mist set to thicken into fog also.
Saturday – Another mostly cloudy day with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, the national forecaster has warned.
Longer, drier spells will occur also – the best of these in the afternoon – especially across the midlands and east.
Heavier falls of rain will move into the west and north-west tomorrow evening with highs of 15 to 20 degrees.
There will be more heavy rain tomorrow night with highs of 11 to 14 degrees.
Sunday – Met Éireann has predicted that outbreaks of rain will develop in the west and north-west, with a possibility that some sunny spells may develop.
Temperatures will hover around 13 degrees in the west and north-west, with slightly higher values of up to 17 degrees in the south-east of the country.
