A much larger sale of cattle was on offer at Blessington Mart’s cattle sale on Thursday (June 11th), according to a mart spokesperson.
There was a very good trade for all classes, but especially so for nice quality store bullocks in the 280-450kg weight bracket.
Prices:
- Beef bullocks +600kg – €585-€760 over;
- Forward store bullocks +500kg – €450-€680 over;
- Store bullocks +400kg – €400-€625 over;
- Store bullocks +300kg – €380-€530 over;
- Beef heifers +500kg – €500-€645 over;
- Store heifers +400kg – €400-€460 over;
- Fat cows – €260-€460 over.
