Charolais-cross quads will go under the hammer at a Kerry-based mart tomorrow night (Wednesday, October 14th).
The bullocks, lot 100, will be presented for sale at Gortatlea Mart in conjunction with its weekly weanling sale and will pass through the ring at approximately 7pm.
The animals, bred by Patrick Howard, who farms between Castleisland and Farranfore were born on Saturday, August 31st, 2019.
Five calves
The dam, named Molly, delivered five bull calves in total; however, one died at birth.
In media interviews, Howard said neighbours were “calling in their droves” to see the new additions.
“We will call them after the Kerry team. We will have to pull the names out of a hat.” he told Radio Kerry.
It is understood that the chances of such an occurrence are one-in-eleven-million.
