Bullocks sold from €2.15-€2.70/kg, while heifers went under the hammer from €2.14-€2.74/kg and cull cows ranged from €500-€1,520/head at Ballinasloe Mart on Wednesday (September 2nd).
Speaking following the sale, a mart spokesperson said: “An improved trade for heifers, bullocks similar to previous weeks and cows back slightly on previous weeks at the sale.”
Bullocks:
- 1 LM – 765kg – €1,530 – €2.00/kg;
- 1 CH – 725kg – €1,520 – €2.09/kg;
- 1 CH – 680kg – €1,485 – €2.18/kg;
- 1 LM – 400kg – €1,080 – €2.70/kg;
- 1 CH – 495kg – €1,270 – €2.56/kg;
- 1 LM – 365kg – €930 – €2.54/kg.
Heifers:
- 1 CH – 665kg – €1,520 – €2.28/kg;
- 1 CH – 615kg – €1,520 – €2.47/kg;
- 1 LM – 685kg – €1,470 – €2.14/kg;
- 1 CH – 365kg – €1,000 – €2.74/kg;
- 1 LM – 430kg – €1,070 – €2.48/kg;
- 1 CH – 355kg – €880 – €2.47/kg.
