The team from Achill Island Coast Guard were recently called to an incident at a cliff in Dooagh.
A lamb was discovered to have fallen from the cliff’s edge.
The lamb was first noticed by a group of walkers who proceeded to contact the emergency services.
The Cliff Rescue Team responded immediately, as two climbers descended approximately 18 metres down the cliff face to rescue the lamb.
In a social media post, the Achill Island Coast Guard team shared pictures of the incident and thanked the walkers for calling them, rather than trying to retrieve the lamb themselves and making the situation even more dangerous.
