€1 million is the asking price for an 82-acre block of land in Ballyvarney, Nurney, Co. Kildare.

The property is in a “very central” location, situated between the villages of Nurney (2.5 km) and Kildangan (3.8); it is close to Kildare Town (8.5km), Newbridge (18km), Athy (14km) and The Curragh (12km) with easy accessibility to the M7 & M9.

The lands extend to a total area of circa 33.2 hectares (82-acres), which is accessed via the existing tree-lined avenue, according to Clive Kavanagh of Jordan Auctioneers and Chartered Surveyors.

Suitable for a number of uses

“The entire is in five divisions with natural boundaries and hedgerows throughout and is ideally suitable for any number of uses and is currently sown for whole crop.”
“The overall soil quality is very good, and most of the farm is classified as Fontstown series.”

Subject to agreement, there is potential to lease an additional 72-acres, which adjoin this block on a 7 to 10-year basis, according to the property firm.

“The property is generally surrounded by agricultural land in addition to several single one-off houses. It was originally part of the world-renowned Kildangan Stud which is very close to the holding.”
