Retired livestock auctioneer, Peter Holland (72), from Australia, claims that he has sold over 1.6 million cattle in his lifetime.
He decided to hang up his boots in recent years, after officiating as a livestock auctioneer at some of the largest cattle auctions in the world.
He told That’s Farming editor, Catherina Cunnane, about his Irish roots, livestock auctioneering career, how livestock are sold across the waters, selling just under 2,000 livestock per day, and his advice for aspiring auctioneers.
