Oldest sire recorded in 2020?

A Shamrock Ambassadeur (CF12) son was born on a Westmeath-based suckler enterprise in recent weeks.

John Barry Moran welcomed the arrival on his farm, which is home to pedigree Charolais and Blonde d’Aquitaine cattle.

CF12, an Urbain son, who was born on January 1st, 1966, assisted with the establishment of the Charolais breed in Ireland.

As one of the first and most influential AI Charolais sires, he still has pedigree calves registered to him up to the present-day, with limited semen supplies available.
