Trade remained firm for all types of cattle at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday (August 20th), according to Michael Lynch.

He reported a “good” yard of cattle with some 740 lots on offer. “Numbers of heavy cattle turning out remain high and prices are encouraging.”

Bullocks – 600kgs+ – €1.70-€2.16/kg:

  • 1 CH – 705kg – €1,500;
  • 8 HEX – 659kg – €1,320;
  • 3 SIX – 602kg – €1,300;
  • 3 FR – 660kg – €1,190.

500-600kgs – €1.70-€2.60/kg:

  • 1 LM – 535kg – €1,430;
