Entry numbers at Castlerea Mart remained strong on Thursday (October 8th) as attendees adapted to level 3 restrictions, according to Brendan Egan.
The mart manager noted that in the weanling rings, demand for quality calves was “very strong” with increased farmer activity noticeable.
“In the heifer rings, trade has remained firm with northern customers active for the heifers while runners, breeding stock and the dry cows reported good clearances.”
