18 county representatives, two from each county across the North-West, will battle it out for the title of Aurivo North West Macra King and Queen 2023 this weekend.
North West Kings and Queens 2023, sponsored by Aurivo Co-operative Society, will take place on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, in a new venue – Radisson Blu Hotel, Co Sligo.

A spokesperson told That’s Farming:
“North West Kings and Queens is organised by the Macra’s North West Executive Committee and is supported by Macra members, contestants and the community across the region.”
“On the night, winners of the NW Macra Unsung Hero, County of the Region and Silage Competitions will also be announced.”
“There will be a banquet meal, followed by popular band, The Waxies, and DJ Dave Duke into the small hours of the morning – a great deal at €40 per person.”
“Tickets are available on EventBrite until Tuesday, January 17th, 2023. After tickets will be on sale soon. There are a limited number of rooms available at the hotel, so please contact the hotel directly by phone to book – 0719140008,” the spokesperson concluded.
2022 event
Leitrim’s Liam O’Donnell (Carrigallen Macra) and Roscommon’s Alanagh Loftus (Elphin-Castlerea Macra) were chosen as the 2022 North West Macra King and Queen, as reported by That’s Farming.
