New Holland launches range of new ‘ultimate all-rounder tractors’

New Holland has launched its T5 Utility Stage V, and T5 Electro Command Stage V tractor ranges with power upgrades.

The new T5 tractors cover the utility multi-purpose tractor segment from 80 hp to 120 hp.

They feature a “new and improved” 4-cylinder engine with an increased displacement of 3.6 litres that delivers higher power and torque.

In addition, operators can attain the maximum torque at lower rpm (1300 rpm), improving the engine’s transient response.

According to the machinery manufacturer, the “ultimate all-rounder tractors” now:

  • Pack a bigger performance in a compact size with a new 4-cylinder engine with bigger displacement;
  • Meet Stage V emissions standards with the Compact Hi-eSCR2 after-treatment solution.

Stage V compliance is ensured by the patented Compact HI-eSCR2 solution developed by FPT Industrial. This system integrates a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), a particulate filtration system and a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) in a single element.

Low-rate Exhaust Gas Recirculation (below 10%) allows for optimised combustion and small SCR dimensions.

All the after-treatment components are enclosed in a single and compact package positioned under the tractor’s hood, ensuring excellent visibility and manoeuvrability.

According to New Holland, the Compact HI-eSCR2 is maintenance free. It requires no replacement of components or mechanical cleaning during the whole lifecycle.

The improved hydraulic and electrical system provides easy access to all service points, including engine filters, on the same side of the tractor, resulting in better and faster serviceability.

Oscar Baroncelli, New Holland global head of tractors, stated:

“These all-rounder tractor ranges remain true to their strong heritage.”

“They provide a perfect solution for livestock and mixed farmers looking for a versatile, manoeuvrable and compact tractor that offers best-in-class performance and efficiency together with comfort and ease of usage for a wide range of applications.”

Uses

According to the company, the T5 Utility is the “perfect, highly versatile” tractor equally at home doing loader work, operating front or rear implements, and transport applications.

It claims the new T5 Utility range delivers the greater increase in performance in Stage V. It has 5hp more and +10% of torque with max torque achieved at lower rpm.

Furthermore, it offers superior comfort for the operator with the spacious VisionViewTM cab.

The ample glass surface and slim pillar frame ensure excellent visibility. Furthermore, the wide roof hatch offers a clear view of the loader in its raised position.

The intuitive, ergonomically laid out controls add to the operator’s comfort and reduce fatigue on long working days.

Features

The company said:

“The T5 Utility is the ideal tractor for intensive loader job thanks to the Class 1.5 large axle that provides greater load-carrying capacity and the wider rear trumpet that enhances stability in loader operation.”

“The advanced joystick with dual command switch and 3rd, 4th and 5th front loader function and declutch function puts the driver in full control when operating the front loader.”

The T5 Utility tractors have a rear lift capacity of up to 4,400 kg. Meanwhile, the three-speed PTO featuring ECO and ground speed delivers excellent versatility and fuel efficiency.

The T5 Electro Command has also received a power increase on the models at the lower end of the range. Besides, it has a 5% torque increase on all models. The resulting higher torque backup delivers higher productivity and better driveability.

Maximum torque is now reached at a lower 1,300 rpm, improving load response and stability. The manufacturer has increased fuel tank capacity to 174 litres, extending working hours without refuelling.

Comfort

The three models in the range – with 101 hp, 110 hp and 117 hp – feature the well-known semi powershift Electro Command™ transmission with 4 steps, 16 forward and 16 reverse gears.

This offers clutchless gear changes to reduce operator fatigue with the optional Auto Mode that enables an automatic gear shifting function.

“The T5 Electro Command also benefit from New Holland’s renowned Terraglide™ front axle suspension. This helps deliver a silky-smooth ride on the roughest terrains.”

“When paired with the Comfort Ride™ cab suspension, it reduces vibrations. Therefore, operators can enjoy a full day of work with less fatigue.”

The spacious VisionView™ cab provides excellent all-round visibility. “The same operation efficiency is guaranteed at night and in low-light conditions with the 360-degree LED lighting package.”

The compact and manoeuvrable multi-purpose T5 Electro Command is available with the wide frame 700TL series front loaders that provide higher stability, which, according to New Holland, even when working with the heaviest loads at maximum extension.

Finally, a separate 80 lpm hydraulic pump, combined with the advanced electrohydraulic joystick located on the armrest, ensure perfect loader operation and transmission control for effortless up- and down-shifting.

New Holland has launched its T5 Utility Stage V, and T5 Electro Command Stage V tractor ranges with power upgrades. The new T5 tractors cover the utility multi-purpose tractor segment from 80 hp to 120 hp.
