‘Much-loved’ livestock auctioneer passes away following cancer battle

A livestock auctioneer has passed away following a “short but courageous” battle with cancer.

RFM Ltd – The Midlands Mart has paid tributes to its “much-loved” colleagues and friend, George ‘Craig’ Thompson, who died on August 12th.

“Craig was a much-loved member of staff both at RFM and previously at Henley Market and RLS.” a spokesperson said.

“He was a larger than life character whose life stories would keep those, who enjoyed his company, entertained endlessly.”

“Our prayers and thoughts go to Craig’s family at this difficult time.”

“The funeral will take place at Scaleby Church on Saturday, August 22nd under Covid restrictions.”
