Mother and daughter killed in tractor collision

The PSNI is appealing for witnesses following the death of a woman and young girl.

The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon (May 12th) at 4.50pm in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim.

A PSNI spokesperson said the pair are understood to be mother and daughter and were killed following a collision involving a quad bike and a tractor. A second young girl was rushed to hospital and is believed to be in a critical condition.

The Whitepark Road, where the incident occurred, was closed until the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to the spokesperson.

The PSNI has launched a full investigation into the incident and officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or captured it on dashcam footage to contact them.
