Farming accounts

Earlier this week, we posted a list of farming accounts you should follow on the video-sharing platform.

Some of them include:

·        Karen Moynihan:

The Kerry native documents her “struggles as a part-time suckler farmer” and commonly features her beloved Massey Ferguson 135.

That’s Farming previously profiled her as part of our women in ag series. She explained to us how she began working on the family farm three years ago, following his father’s accident and is a full-time store manager for ALDI.

·        The Kerry Cowboy:

This creator hails from an 80-cow dairy farm, that keeps store lambs over the winter period. He set up his TikTok account during the first phase of Covid-19 restrictions and posted a clip of a pup he was training, which gained over 50,000 views in a short period.

·        Lauren Ennis:

Lauren hails from a suckler and sheep farm and sat her Leaving Certificate in June 2022. She posts content which captures family farming life with a humorous twist and aims to be a role model by empowering women in agriculture.

·        BoPeep Valais BlackNose:

April Higgins and Alymer Power own the popular Limerick-based pedigree Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep flock. The account posts clips of ‘the world’s cutest sheep’ breed, covering ag show prep, shearing, lambing, and feeding (biscuits!).

·        Katie Shanahan:

Katie hails from her family’s beef and sheep farm, is currently completing her Green Cert, is a social care worker and owner of Shanahan School of Irish Dance.
