Kilrush Mart-goer bursts into song from the sellers’ box

Farmer, John Browne, Kilkee, burst into song after selling some cattle at Kilrush Mart, Co Clare last September.
Browne told the story of days gone by at show and sale days in Kilrush during his 4-minute performance, which the mart’s auctioneer, Pat Neylon, encouraged.
Neylon asked the seller: “You sold the last couple of cattle, sir, and you want to sing a verse of a song?”
“Come sing a song, and I will hold the microphone for you,” the auctioneer remarked before Browne took centre stage.
