Maize 2021 is a go on Farmer Phil’s farm. He explained: “The Irish weather is being good to us for now but it is going to change soon enough so it is time to get it cut.”
“We were drawing with 3 tractors and trailers – the 6499 and the Kane, the 6270 and a Trainor, and the 6290 and the Trainor.”
“The pit is worth around €20k if we were to buy it so it was vital to get it all in, harvested and safe. Our cattle can now be fed with 100% home-grown feed, bar the biscuit meal.”
