Over 260 lots for Bord na Mona’s machinery sale

Bord Na Móna is offering surplus to requirement machinery for sale from its Derrygreenagh site this Saturday, June 19th, from 10 am.

Wilsons Auctions is managing the first auction of its new contract with the semi-state company.

The auction will feature over 260 lots and will include tractor models including:

  • New Holland;
  • Massey Ferguson;
  • John Deere;
  • Fiat;
  • Valtra;
  • Ford.

Other machinery for sale in this specialist offsite auction include:

  • Teva Bog machines;
  • Tractor units;
  • Bog equipment;
  • Locomotives;
  • Dozers;
  • Engines;
  • Tyres.
Hybrid bidding

The LiveBid auction will be available to the general public, allowing them to bid online with a live auctioneer.

Ricky Wilson, director and auctioneer at Wilsons Auctions, said: “We are delighted to launch the first of many auctions on behalf of Bord na Móna, having successfully been awarded this new contract and continue our work with the company.”

“Despite the current restrictions, we are proud to continue our online auction service, offering a solution that complies with the government advice.”

“This auction will feature a large volume of surplus to requirement stock, managed by our expert online auction team.”

“I would encourage everyone to register as early as possible for online bidding ahead of the auction on June 19th. This is an auction not to be missed,” he added.

How to view and register

Viewings will be strictly by appointment only, until 4 pm today (Thursday, June 17th).

Viewing appointments will run in one-hour slots and restricted to one person per group, under government guidelines.

Live tractor or machinery video walkarounds are available on request for registered bidders. Recorded videos of the machines and tractors running are available for anyone who wishes to see them before the auction.

You can view all lots online, interested bidders can register through the Wilsons Auctions’ website.
