Over 200 lots will come under the hammer at Cork Marts’ upcoming machinery auction.
The auction will take place at its popular Corrin Event Centre on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at 6 pm.
Speaking to That’s Farming editor, Catherina Cunnane, ahead of the auction, a spokesperson for Cork Marts said:
“The sale includes a large number of entries, comprising a large number of tractors, trailers, and a large array of other farm implements and tools.”
“All entries are presently on-site, which is located just outside Fermoy, and are ready for sale.”
“We are conducting the sale via the Mart Eye app. The full catalogue for this sale, which includes over 200 lots, is available on the Mart Eye app.”
Some of the items for sale include:
- 2014 Massey Ferguson 7618 50km with 5068 hours;
- An 18ft Eamon Power cattle trailer in immaculate condition;
- 2019 Malone 6 rotor tedder as new;
- Several Ford TW tractors;
- 2007 Land Rover Defender in “pristine” condition. DOE’d and one owner since.
Viewing, registering, and bidding
Interested parties will be able to view items on Wednesday, July 13th and on sale day.
The spokesperson continued:
“You can register via the Mart Eye app. We take a deposit via credit and will fully refund seven days following the sale if you do not make any purchases.”
“All machinery purchased must be collected on Friday, July 15th,” the spokesperson concluded.

June 2022 tractor registrations
In other news, according to the FTMTA, a “strong” demand remains for new tractors on the Irish market.
However, its latest statistics service report for June 2022 shows the continuing impact of disruptions to global supply chains on agricultural tractor registrations in Ireland.
The June 2022 new tractor market at 54 units was 40% lower, compared with the same month last year.
According to its data, the year-to-date figures are 11% lower than the same period in 2022.
Its figures show that 1,368 new tractors were registered in the Republic of Ireland so far in 2022, compared with 1,539 units in 2021.
County Cork continues to deliver the highest number of new tractor registrations at 197 units for the year to date.
