A number of livestock marts across the country have announced that they are closing their doors until further notice.
The news comes as concerns over Covid-19 continue to grow, with forty new cases confirmed in the Republic of Ireland in recent hours.
Closures:
At the time of writing, the following marts confirmed that “in the interest of health and safety” their sales have been postponed until further notice:
- Raphoe Livestock Mart;
- Ballybofey and Stranorlar Livestock Mart;
- Inishowen Co-Operative Livestock Mart, Carndonagh.
