There is a limit being placed on the number of people who can attend individual mart ringsides, as concerns over the coronavirus, continues to grow.
ICOS has stated that it will be implementing a range of additional measures, in response to guidance issued by the Government and HSE today (Thursday, March 12th).
In a statement, a spokesperson for ICOS said: “The number of people attending individual mart ringsides at any one time will be limited to 100, which will be managed on a strict rotation system, using admission cards which will be rotated among patrons at the entrance / exit to the mart ringside or other such monitoring methods as devised by the mart.”
It has stressed that only ‘trading customers’, those who are buying or selling livestock, should attend marts until further notice.
