Tuesday, August 4th saw some 475 pass through the rings at Ennis Mart, according to a spokesperson.
They reported that heifers met with an easier trade with the exception of some top-quality lots.
“Bulls similar, but quality was very variable with a number of the lighter lots bought potentially for the Turkish market.”
“Again suckling stock a fine trade with pairs making to €1,850. Calves were a strong trade with an 11-week-old Charolais bull making €670.”
“Runners were a more mixed trade with heifers topping out at €750 and bulls at €770.” the spokesperson added.
