Cattle breeder and judge awarded prestigious President’s Plate

Former That’s Farming contributor, cattle breeder, cattle judge and estate agent, Libby Clarke, has been awarded the prestigious President’s Plate by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS).

The society presented the award to the Magheralin, County Armagh-based council member, at a virtual meeting on Friday, March 26th, 2021.

The award recognises excellence within the agri-sector in Northern Ireland and acknowledges a member who has made a “significant” contribution to the society over the years.

This RUAS stalwart became a life member as a child and first joined the council in 2006, following in her father’s footsteps, who had a lifetime involvement with the society.

Libby has been involved in many different aspects of the society, serving on several committees, and fulfilling many roles, including judge, steward, and council member.

Furthermore, she is currently chair of the cattle committee and the beef and lamb sub-committee and sits on the finance committee.

“It is a great honour, and a well-deserved one that she has been selected as the recipient of this award by this charitable organisation.”

“For those of you that have met Libby, you will know that her enthusiasm for Joyce Clarke Estate Agents is off the scale, reinforced by endless hours dedicated to the promotion and selling of property & land. There are no half measures.”

“Well done to one of the most hard-working, fun-loving people we know.” the post concluded.
