‘Large seasonal’ entry of cattle at Raphoe

There was a “large seasonal” entry of cattle at Raphoe Mart on Thursday (September 3rd), according to Ann Harkin, who reported a “good” trade around the ring.

Summary:

    • Fat cows sold from €800 to €1410 each;
    • Bulls made from €1.70/kg to €2.50/kg;
    • Bullocks fetched from €1.80/kg to €2.60/kg;
    • Heifers went under the hammer from €1.90/kg to €2.70/kg.

Sheep

“There was a large entry of sheep today at Raphoe Mart all of which were met with a good trade.”

Lambs:

    • 27-31kgs €70 to €80;
    • 32-36kgs €80 to €90;
    • 37-42kgs €90 to €100;
    • 43-52kgs €100 to €115.
