A 155.98-acre farm in Co Laois is one of the first properties that will come under the hammer through a virtual online public auction this year.

Wilsons Auctions is overseeing the sale of the lands at Drumagh, Crettyard, Carlow, Co Laois.

As outlined above, the property comprises over 155-acres, along with a four-bed bungalow in need of repair and it also boasts road frontage.

According to the selling agent, the subject lands are in “one large irregular-shaped open plan block”.

They are in “large manageable” divisions, bound by mature hedging. The agent suggested the lands are currently all in grass and suitable for beef, suckling or dairying.

The selling agent commented: “The river Dinin runs along the entire southern boundary.”

“There is a four-bedroom bungalow, in need of upgrading, located in the centre of the lands access by an internal farm road.”

“There is road frontage onto the R430. Spectacular views of the verdant countryside from all aspects of the farm. The lands are being sold as is and not subject to planning,” the agent added.

Location

The lands are on the Laois, Kilkenny, Carlow border on the R430.

The selling agent pointed out that the property is 1.5kms from Crettyard, 12kms from Carlow Town and 19kms from Athy.

“Crettyard is a hamlet in Co Laois. It is situated on the border with Co Kilkenny, near Newtown, at the junction of the N78 national primary route and the R43. The village has a shop, pub and primary school.”

“The large county town of Carlow is 12km west of the lands. It has a population: of 24,272 (2016). Here, you can find all major amenities and transport links,” the selling agent concluded.

The auction will take place at Wilsons Auctions, Kingswood Interchange, Naas Road, Dublin 22, on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022.
