Lack of grass a talking point at Mohill

Trade was easier at Mohill Mart’s cattle sale on Saturday (June 13th), according to a spokesperson. 

They pointed out that entries were purchased by both ringside and online bidders. “Lots of buyers and sellers talking about the lack of grass.” the spokesperson added. 

Dry cows: 

• LM – 835kgs – €1700;
• LM – 880kgs – €1780.

Stockbulls: 

• CH – 1070kgs – €1850;
• CH – 1000kgs – €1780.

Suckler pairings and springers: 

• LM cow and CH bull calf – €1920;
• LM springer With her time up to CH bull – €1590.

Weanling bulls:

• CH – 300kgs – €890:
• LM – 240kgs – €830.

Weanling heifers: 

• LM – 270kgs – €780;
• CH – 300kgs – €880. 

Heifers: 

• CH – 400kgs – €1100; 
• LM – 460kgs – €1120.

Bullocks: 

• CH – 600kgs – €1300;
• LM – 500kgs – €1180.
