Ennis Mart – cattle prices – 25-05-2021

According to a spokesperson, just over 650 entries went under the hammer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021.

They noted that the sale attracted “quite a few” autumn-born weanlings again.

“The nice quality ones of these were a very strong trade.  Just short of 100 calves on offer and again a fine trade for these, despite, being almost June 1st.”

“Calves were a mix of Hereford-crosses, Angus-crosses, and continentals. A strong Charolais heifer calf made €605. Generally, Hereford-cross calves in the €200 to €300 bracket. Aberdeen-Angus calves made €140 to €340. A strong entry of suckler stock, with pairs making to €2,820,” the spokesperson added.
