Kilkenny: Cull cows to €2,780 and bullocks to €2,700 as turnover reaches over €1m

Kilkenny Mart – Cattle Prices – 25-05-2022

According to George Candler, some 900 lots passed through the ring at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, May 25^th, 2022.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that beef bullocks and heifers were “still in demand” with bullocks to €2,700, heifers to €2,660 and cull cows to €2,780.

However, he did note that, all in all, plainer cattle were “a bit more difficult to sell”.

“Turnover exceeded €1m, which has happened on thirteen occasions in 2022,” the livestock auctioneer noted.
