Kilkenny Mart report – sheep prices – 13-09-2021
According to George Candler, a smaller entry comprising some 750 lots were on offer at Kilkenny Mart on Monday, September 13th, 2021.
The mart’s auctioneer reported that better-quality butcher types went under the hammer at this week’s sale.
He outlined that cull ewes peaked at €151/head in comparison to price in excess of €200+ three weeks ago.

Last week’s sheep prices
According to George Candler, a larger entry comprising some 1,100 lots went under the hammer at Kilkenny Mart’s sheep sale on Monday, September 6th, 2021.
The mart’s auctioneer reported that all lambs were easier by €2-€4/head than last week.
He noted that cull ewes peaked at €160/head, while lambs reached €149/head, and breeding hoggets topped out at €250/head.
