Cull cows sell to €2,160 in ‘strong’ trade at Kilkenny Mart

Kilkenny Mart report – cattle prices – 01-07-2021

According to George Candler, just under 1,000 cattle were on offer at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday, July 1st, 2021.

The mart’s auctioneer reported that trade for beef and forward store bullocks and heifers remained “strong”.

“Some Friesian bullocks were reduced compared to last weeks, but quality store bullocks and heifers are still selling well.”

“Cull cows met a 100% clearance and reached a top call of €2,160. Plainer cattle tended to be easier.”
