Over 200 lots including 70 tractors for hybrid machinery auction

Hybrid machinery auction in May 2022

Over 200 lots will come under the hammer at Bord na Móna’s forthcoming tractor and specialist equipment auction.

It has appointed Wilsons Auctions to sell agricultural machinery from its Derrygreenagh site in Co. Offaly at 10 am on Saturday, May 14th, 2022.

Presented with live online bidding, registered bidders will be able to live-stream the auction and bid online with a virtual auction experience.

According to organisers, over 70 tractors will feature in the large volume of surplus stock.

Some of the best-known tractor manufacturers – such as New Holland, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, and Ford – are in the line-up.

Wilson Auctions and Bord na Móna believe this is a “brilliant opportunity for anyone looking for quality and used agricultural stock”.

The historic Wagonmaster Locomotives will also be available to bid on in the May online auction.

Built between 1961 and 1986, you often saw these locomotives working around Bord na Móna’s railway network. According to the company, these “one-of-a-kind assets” are ideal for a range of uses and also attractive to locomotive enthusiasts.

Tractors and equipment

Ricky Wilson, director, and auctioneer at Wilsons Auctions, said:

“We are delighted to set the date for this auction. There is a huge demand for quality, used stock in today’s market.”

“This auction will be a great opportunity for the farming community, businesses and as well as private buyers. The tractors really do appeal to everyone.”

“It gives me great pleasure to watch these tractors and equipment be given a new lease of life and recycled back into local and international businesses, creating employment and further opportunities.”

“Everyone is welcome to bid. I would encourage everyone to book a viewing slot and register as early as possible ahead of the auction on May 14th. This is an auction not to be missed.” he concluded.

Viewing and bidding

Viewings will be strictly by appointment only, running for four days on Monday 9th to Thursday, May 12th, 2022, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Videos of all working tractors and machinery are available online.
