Dowra Mart will play host to a full dispersal sale of Highland cattle at its upcoming cattle sale on Saturday, July 16th, 2022.
A selection of orange, grey, and black pedigree registered Highland cattle – females and one male – will come under the hammer at its general weekly cattle sale.
According to the spokesperson, the sale will include:
- One pedigree Highland bull;
- Black pedigree cow;
- Grey pedigree heifer;
- Red pedigree heifer;
- Red cow – had one calf.
The spokesperson noted: “All cows and heifers have been running with the bull. To register for online sales this week, download the MartEye App or follow the link – http://dowra.marteye.ie”
“If you are a new customer to Dowra, you must call the mart office on 0719643049,” the spokesperson noted.

According to a spokesperson for Dowra Mart, trade “remained” steady for all categories at its latest cattle sale on Saturday, July 9th, 2022.
The spokesperson noted that a “slightly” smaller entry went under the hammer with prices to €2,480 in the cull cow ring, €2,200 in the bullock ring and €2,200 in the heifer ring.
