Cupid Shuffle set a new record when the hammer fell at $300,000 (approximately €273,930) at Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in the US last Saturday (February 8thth).
The 2020 grand champion steer was bred by 12-year-old, Ryder Day, who explained that he will use the six-figure sum to purchase more cattle and to fund his college studies.
It is the first time since 1982 that a Hereford has won the competition, according to a spokesperson for Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.
