Cull cows break the €2/kg barrier at Gortatlea

Cull cows reached €2.06/kg, while heifers climbed to €2.45/kg and bullocks hit €2.31/kg at Gortatlea Mart last week.

Moving to the other rings, weanling heifers sold to €2.72/kg, while weanling bulls peaked at €2.97/kg.

Cull cows:

  • 1 CH – 700kg – €1,440 – €2.06/kg;
  • 1 LMX – 800kg – €1,520 – €1.90/kg;
  • 1 FR – 785kg – €1,120 – €1.43/kg.

Heifers:

  • 1 CHX – 420kg – €1,030 – €2.45/kg;
  • 3 CHX – 588.33kg – €1,300 – €2.21/kg;
  • 1 BBX – 645kg – €1,420 – €2.20/kg.

Bullocks:

  • 1 SIX – 540kg – €1,245 – €2.31/kg;
  • 1 CHX – 595kg – €1,345 – €2.26/kg;
  • 10 AAX – 637kg – €1,310 – €2.06/kg.

Weanling bulls/heavier-types:

  • 1 BBX – 370kg – €1,100 – €2.97/kg;
