‘Gardaí observed a horse running out in front of traffic’

Gardaí in Co. Tipperary seized horses on Wednesday, August 12th, following “multiple” calls from members of the public.

The alarm was raised after loose horses were discovered on the Fethard road. In a post on social media, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána Tipperary said: “Upon arrival at [the] scene, Gardaí observed a horse running out in front of traffic.”

“While at scene, Gardaí became aware of a young foal which was in poor condition and in need of food and medical attention.”

“The horses were all seized and are currently receiving the care they require. [The] investigation is ongoing.” the social media post concluded.

Meanwhile, over the course of the weekend, a mare and foal were seized after Clonmel Gardaí were alerted by members of the public to loose horses in a “largely” populated housing estate in the area, as reported by us here.
