A 16-year-old has passed away in hospital, following a fall from a tractor.
The road traffic incident occurred at Sylane, in Tuam, Co Galway on Wednesday evening, August 30th, 2023 at approximately 7.40 pm.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he received treatment for serious injuries.
The male passed away during the early hours of Wednesday morning, September 6th, 2023. A post-mortem will take place in due course.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the road traffic incident which occurred.
In a statement to www.thatsfarming.com, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána, said:
“Gardaí in Galway are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have video footage, to come forward to them.”

Male (50s) dies
Meanwhile, in July, a male in his 50s, died following a road traffic collision involving a car and tractor in Co Meath.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision in County Meath on Wednesday afternoon, July 26th, 2023.
The collision occurred at approximately 4 pm on the R157 at Moygaddy, Co.Meath and involved a car and a tractor.
The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, received fatal injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
A technical examination was completed by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road re-opened following this, according to a statement from An Garda Síochána.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have video footage, to contact them.
