Padraig Naughton of Mountbellew Property Sales anticipates that the firm’s newest listing in Co Galway will attract interest from new and established farmers alike.

The firm, has for sale, a circa 53.25-acre non-residential holding at Fiddaun, Craughwell, in the county.

According to the agent, the lands are in two separate divisions of c. 46.53 st. acres and c. 6.72 st. acres.

Firstly, the c. 46.53 st. acres portion is in one large block, which is laid out in five fields. According to the agent, these lands were tilled over a number of years and were re-seeded three years ago.

Naughton remarked: “This portion of lands has considerable road frontage and may have site potential, subject to planning permission.”

“Nearby is a further portion comprising c. 6.72 st. acres of mixed quality agricultural lands.”

He commented that this is an “ideal opportunity” for neighbouring farmers to extend their holdings or any perspective purchase to acquire a “quality” agricultural holding.

The lands are 5 km from Ardrahan, 10 km from Craughwell village, 16 km from Loughrea, 16 km from Gort and a further 33 km from Galway city.

The property will come under the hammer in an online auction on Friday, June 3rd, 2022, at 2 pm.

The firm has instructed that prospective purchasers must register with MartEye before 4 pm on Friday, May 27th, 2022.

Meanwhile, a listing at Drumbaragh, Kells, County Meath offers what Raymond Potterton Auctioneers regard as a “unique opportunity to purchase a gorgeous traditional farmstead in an excellent location”.

The selling agents revealed that “it is possible to see into four counties from almost any position on the farm”.

It will put this “absolutely superb” residential farm, extending to c. 44-acres under the hammer, in an online auction on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022.

The property is in what the agents described as an “excellent” location, being a short distance outside Kells and near the M3.
