Next Generation Plastics LTD is an Irish company which manufactures grant-aid spec and approved plastic polymer fence posts from recycled plastics.
The Kilberry, Navan, Co.Meath-based firm has developed new innovative fencing products to improve land boundaries and reduce waste.
Its newly launched range of fence posts are “extremely durable”, are “stronger than wood” and “never need to be painted or maintained”, according to Ciara Murray, director, who spoke to That’s Farming.
According to the Meath-based company, once installed, the posts provide an “excellent barrier” for land boundaries.
“There is no other company making this type of durable plastic fencing in Ireland. The posts are made of high-density polyethylene, so all our material is made out of recycleld plastics, mainly bins, tanks etc. shredded and treated.”
Ciara listed the following benefits:
- Stronger than wood;
- Do not corrode;
- No rooting;
- No painting or maintenance required;
- Splinter free;
- Last for years;
- A forty-year guarantee;
- Made from recycles materials;
- Neat and tidy.
Department of Ag-approved
Next Generation Plastics was recently granted approval by the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine. This means farmers participating in TAMS can avail of grant aid after installing these posts.
Furthermore, Next Generation Plastics has had its fence posts independently weather-tested.
“We went to Athlone IT’s centre of design. The IT has been weather completing chemical analysis and tangible tests to gauge strength, durability, and flexibility.”
The company’s posts are priced individually at €10 plus VAT, with bulk discounts on large orders. Currently offer round posts, either 5ft or 6ft in length.
