On the market through Eamon Gaffney Auctioneers is a circa 86-acre residential farm for sale in Coolarty, Edgeworthstown, County Longford.

The farm will be offered for sale by means of public auction in conjunction with LSL Auctions on Thursday, May 20th at 2 pm.

The auctioneer has been instructed by the reps of the late Martin Clyne, a pedigree Charolais breeder, who owned the renowned Cassina herd, to sell the farm.

The farm is being offered for sale in 3 lots:

  • 1 –5 hectares or circa 63-acres with 3-bed bungalow and farmyard
  • 2 –5 hectares or circa 23-acres;
  • 3 – Entire property, circa 35 hectares/ circa 86-acres with 3-bed bungalow and farmyard.

Extend existing hold or start-up

“This excellent residential farm is located along the N55 just 6km outside Granard and would be ideal for anyone wishing to extend their existing holding or as a start-up holding.”

“Also, there are Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) entitlements attached to these lands. The lands would be well-known as an excellent dry grazing and fattening farm. The land is all under permanent pasture and is laid out in one block in attractive sized fields with water supply throughout.”

Furthermore, according to the selling agent, the land comes with BSP entitlements to the value of €12,000/annum.

“The residence is a 3-bed bungalow located at the entrance to the lands. It is in need of some modernisation and has a lot of potential.”

“The farmyard consists of a number of slatted sheds, including a 3-bed slattered shed with creep area, a dry bedded shed, storage shed and silage slab, along with other out office,” the selling agent added.
