New to the market at €370,000 and for sale through Hennessy Auctioneers is a circa 45.4-acre farm holding in Co Laois.

According to the selling agent, the farm holding is “located in an area of natural beauty overlooking the entire county of Laois”.

It is approximately 7kms from Mountrath, on the footsteps of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. The property is at the end of a cul-de-sac laneway, approximately 1.5kms in off the local bye road.”

“The lands are laid out in one division. Fencing and water are laid on throughout. Lands are reclaimed and in good condition, top quality pastureland throughout.”

“The farmyard is set up to handle a small herd of suckler cows and their followers. It has a number of open-plan hay barns and lean-tos, along with a small, slatted tank and cattle handling facilities.”

New to the market through Strutt & Parker with a guide price of £12.5m (over €14.4m) is 1,045-acre Croston Estate in Lancashire.

According to the selling agent, the property is one of the largest commercial farming estates in the north-west, boasting some of the “most productive soils” in the UK.

The estate sits on the north-eastern edge of the Lancashire Plain. This is an expanse of grade 1 and 2 soils that stretch across a large part of West Lancashire.
