‘Fabulous Filly’s Charity Auction Night’ to raise funds for breast cancer research

Ballybar Ireland and Ardattin Embroidery will host an event, entitled Fabulous Filly’s Charity Auction Night, in aid of charity next month.

The two business owners will hold their first charity auction night on Friday, October 22nd, 2021, in the surroundings of Ballykealy House in their home county of Carlow.

In aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, the night will kick off at 6.30 pm.

Fabulous Filly’s Charity Auction Night

Ciara and Claire, the organisers, told That’s Farming that the night is “sure to allow everyone to relax, meet up with friends, old and new”.

The idea of the event came from their desire to find a way to connect with their communities, while also looking to raise awareness and funds for a charity undertaking work in the form of research for breast cancer.

The NBCRI is in NUI Galway, and the work they continue to do is so important in the fight against breast cancer.

“Funds from the event will help them continue to research and ascertain causes and factors that influence breast cancer and to help develop effective screening, treatments and medication to combat this.”

“On the night of October 22nd, guests can expect a great night,” they continued.

“The team at Ballykealy House will be on to had to ensure that everyone enjoys their 3-course meal.”

“Everyone at the event will receive a gift bag packed with goodies from businesses around the county. Local Carlow man, Kieran Brennan, will keep us all entertained.”

The main event will be sure to get the excitement going with some items up for grabs to the highest bidder. These include:

  • Hotel nights away;
  • Concrete troughs;
  • Luxury linen pyjamas;
  • Irish whiskey;
  • Premium Irish beef hamper;
  • Garden furniture;
  • Lots more.
