Farmers, who share their experience with lambing handling by completing this survey (which takes approximately six-minutes), will be entered into a draw to win a Cotter Crate.
The product, which is the brainchild of the Cotter brothers from Co. Limerick, makes handling lambs easier, faster and safer for sheep farmers.
“The innovation lies in how the lambs are safely and comfortably held in the crate; this allows sheep farmers to administer all necessary treatments quickly, easily and accurately.” the brothers explained to That’s Farming.
The Cotter brothers won ‘Best Agri-Engineering Start-up’ and the Alfred Cox Founder’s Perpetual Trophy for the ‘Best Overall Start-up Innovation’ at the 2019 Enterprise Ireland Innovation Awards at the National Ploughing Championships.
They also received the Engineers Ireland Student Innovator of The Year Award for their innovative product.
Limited numbers of crates
“Due to the COVID-19 situation, only a very limited number of Cotter Crates are going on the market this spring.”
