Bullocks to €3,260 and cull cows to €2,800 in ‘serious’ trade at Ennis
Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 26-05-2022
According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just over 600 lots came under the hammer on Thursday, May 26th, 2022.
The spokesperson noted that the sale saw bullocks reach up to €3,260, cows to €2,800 and heifers to €2,060. A strong entry aged bulls levelled at €2.31/kg with a Limousin of 920kgs making €2,430.
“As can be seen, beef was a serious trade in all rings,” the spokesperson added.

According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just over 600 lots passed through the ring on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022.
They said that “trade could only be described as strong and shippers and farmers very active”.
Bull weanlings soared to €3.89/kg, while heifers followed at €3.73/kg at its most recent weekly cattle sale.
Furthermore, they noted that calf numbers were “up slightly” on the previous week with some 160 lots on offer.
Continental calves made to €720, while Angus calves changed hands from €75 to €300 and Hereford calves ranged from €4 to €425.
Meanwhile, pairs in the suckler ring made to €2,460 and in-calf lots topped out at €2,020.
