Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 20-09-2022
According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, the National Ploughing Championships impacted entry numbers at its most recent cattle sale on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022.
They noted that trade “remained very strong”, especially for bull weanlings, which saw dominance from farmer buyers.
Meanwhile, quality heifers met with “good” demand with “a little bit more bite in the heifer trade”.
“There were 15 sucks available, and these soared to €580 for a one-month-old Limousin bull. There was a very small show of suckling stock,” the spokesperson added.
