Heifers and bulls up €20-€30/hd at Ennis

Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 18-10-2022

According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, just under 1,000 head changed hands at Ennis Mart, Co Clare on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022.

The spokesperson reported that trade was a “shade” stronger in both bull and weanling rings.

Speaking following the sale, they said: “Shippers were a lot more active today with five different groups, online and ringside.”

“More farmers were available in both the bull and heifer rings, and this led to an improved trade of €20-€30/hd in the heifer ring, and the bull ring maintained the very strong trade of recent weeks.”

Meanwhile, suckler stock met with an “excellent” demand and in-calf heifers made to €2,360.

Runner heifers fetched up to €850 and runner bulls to €1,070 at Tuesday’s sale.
