Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 14-04-2022
According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, prices reached €2,900 at its weekly sale of cull cows and heifers on Thursday, April 14th, 2022.
The Clare-based mart recorded this call (€3.05/kg) for a 14-year-old Limousin-cross-Belgian-Blue cow, weighing 950kgs.
The spokesperson noted that “flesh was key in both rings as it is highly sought-after presently”.
Meanwhile, a strong entry of aged bulls levelled at €2.13/kg with a Charolais of 850kg making €2,390.

According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, a smaller entry went under the hammer at its weekly sale on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022.
They noted that trade improved in the weanling rings – both bulls and heifers, while calf prices were “similar” to last week’s returns.
The spokesperson that noted that dairy stock met with a “fair” trade as prices reached €1,590, while suckler pairs topped out at €2,260.
