Driver injured and cattle killed after truck overturns

A 34-year-old sustained serious injuries and a number of cattle were killed after a truck overturned yesterday (Saturday, July 25th). 

Gardaí in Wexford are investigating the serious injury road traffic collision which occurred on Ferrycarrig Bridge, Wexford at approximately 1.50 p.m. 

A cattle truck lost control driving over the bridge and overturned in the process onto an unoccupied parked car.

The male has been removed to Wexford General Hospital and remains in a serious condition, according to the most recent update from Gardaí. 

Appeal for information

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the road from 1.45 p.m. to 2 p.m., or anyone who was in the area this afternoon and may have witnessed the collision, particularly any road users with dashcam footage, to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 916 5200, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
