Dairygold April Milk Price
Dairygold has, this afternoon (Tuesday, May 17th, 2022), confirmed that it has increased the April quoted milk price by 4.0c/L.
This brings its price to 50.5c/L based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat, inclusive of bonuses and vat.
This milk price equates to an average April farm gate milk price of 54.6cpl, based on the average April milk solids, Dairygold milk suppliers achieved.
Therefore, the Quoted Milk Price for April based on EU Standard constituents of 3.4% protein and 4.2% butterfat is 55.1c/L.
In a statement to That’s Farming, a spokesperson for the processor said:
“Continued weak global supply and sustained demand for dairy ingredients have meant that markets have remained firm.”
“This increase in milk price reflects strong dairy markets but also recognises the significant increase in input costs for milk suppliers since the beginning of the year.”
“As is customary, the Dairygold board will continue to monitor markets closely and review milk price on a month-by-month basis.”
Kerry Group Milk Price
Yesterday, Kerry Group set its milk price for April 2022 supplies.
Its announcement on Monday, May 16th, followed Lakeland Dairies’ and Glanbia’s.
In a statement to That’s Farming, a spokesperson for Kerry Group said:
“Our Kerry Group base price for April milk supplies will increase to 49.5 c/l incl VAT at 3.30% Prot/3.60% Bfat and 54.21c/l incl Vat at EU Standard Constituents 3.40% Prot/4.20% Bfat.”
“Based on Kerry’s average milk solids for April, the milk price return inclusive of VAT and bonuses is 53.31 c/l,” the spokesperson concluded.
Last month, based on Kerry’s average milk solids for March, the milk price return was 50.57 c/L. This was inclusive of VAT and bonuses.
The processor increased its base price for March milk supplies to 46.5 c/l incl VAT at 3.30% Prot/3.60% Bfat and 50.95 c/l incl Vat at EU Standard Constituents 3.40% Prot/4.20% Bfat.
