Dairy farmer killed in farm accident to be laid to rest today

The man, who died in a farm accident on Thursday (July 30th), will be laid to rest today (Sunday, August 2nd).   

Danny Mullins, Gelnacurrane, Anglesboro, Co. Limerick, sustained what are understood to be crush injuries, whilst working on his dairy enterprise.

Emergency services attended the scene of the incident on the Cork-Limerick border, however, the farmer, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem was conducted.

The married father-of-four and grandfather-of-three will be laid to rest this afternoon, following funeral mass, according to his death notice.  

The funeral will be held in line with government and HSE guidelines.
