Bullocks clicked from €2.31-€2.69/kg, while heifers ranged from €2.32-€2.68/kg and cull cows went under the hammer from €610-€1,720 at Ballinasloe Mart on Wednesday, March 4th.
Speaking following the general cattle sale, a mart spokesperson said: “A very good trade and clearance at our cattle show and sale today.”
“Prices were up on previous weeks, due in large part to the quality of the stock on offer.”
Bullocks:
- 1 LM – 690kg – €1,605 – €2.32/kg;
- 1 CH – 668kg – €1,600 – €2.39/kg;
- 1 CH – 740kg – €1,600 – €2.16/kg;
- 1 CH – 342kg – €920 – €2.69/kg;
- 1 CH – 367kg – €975 – €2.66/kg;
- 1 CH – 507kg – €1,320 – €2.60/kg.
Heifers:
- 1 LM – 660kg – €1,580 – €2.39/kg;
- 1 LM – 675kg – €1,555 – €2.30/kg;
- 1 CH – 660kg – €1,555 – €2.35/kg;
- 1 LM – 500kg – €1,340 – €2.68/kg;
- 1 CH – 350kg – €930 – €2.66/kg;
- 1 LM – 520kg – €1,370 – €2.64/kg.
